Ancaster Old Mill Race

Noah and I ran the Ancaster Old Mill Race yesterday. He ran the 1km kids race, where they don’t time the kids, but everyone gets a medal and ice cream. He got very competitive, while having a short walk after sprinting up a hill, someone passed him, and he quickly sprinted to catch up. See some pictures here.

I ran the 10km in 48:23, beating last year’s time of 49:45 by quite a margin. It’s a great race, lots of bands through the course. By far the most enthusiastic group is the family that runs the first aid station somewhere around kilometer 3. They hand out water (and occasionally beer) and the garage band setup on their driveway is actually pretty good.
