Apple and Intel

Apple announced a few days ago that it would be switching from IBM’s PowerPC chips to using Intel’s chips. This has left most Apple enthusiasts a big befuddled. After a few years of flaunting the PowerPC chip (faster, 64-bit, etc), they now have to buckle down and bite the Intel bullet.

There doesn’t seem to be any good reason for this switch, although Steve Jobs has tried his best. This guy however, thinks that Intel is going to buy Apple and use Apple as a leverage against Microsoft. Perhaps a bit far-fetched, but it sure sounds good.
