Hamilton has got to be the only place in the world where you can get a parking ticket for parking in your own driveway. The builder of our subdivision, in his infinite wisdom, placed the sidewalks a long ways away from the road, leaving us without enough room to park two vehicles. The alternatives we face are either blocking the sidewalk, or parking on the road. Thinking it better to block the sidewalk, leaving the road clear for the snowplows, I received a $50 parking ticket this morning, along with some of my very annoyed neighbours. Now my alternatives are to pay, or to go to court. One neighbour is going court since this is his second ticket. Only in Hamilton.
